What's on for children
The children’s ministry at St. Mark's is designed for children from babies to children in Year 6 and is headed up by Daisy Davis.
Our vision is to work alongside parents to see children become fully devoted to God and get excited about what God has planned for their lives. We hope to engage children in church they want to be part of.
St. Mark's is a place where children:
LOVE – know the love of God through Jesus and develop new and lasting friendships. LAUGH – have fun with games, competitions, small groups, craft, sport, puppets and dramas. LIVE – work out what living God’s way looks like. LEARN – learn more about God through biblical, creative and age appropriate talks and worship.
Childrens Church takes place during the 11.00 am morning service. All children worship with their families and the rest of the congregation in the church for the first part of the service before joining their groups after the sharing of the Peace.
Children's Church is made up of three parts:
Crèche The creche is an supervised room where you can leave your baby if they are happy and settled. It is held in the vestibule near to the entrance of church. It is for parents with new babies and crawlers. An audio feed of the service is available to listen to on a speaker.
Scramblers & Climbers Walkers - Pre-school children meet in The Lower Hall – this room is manned by a great team of volunteers including parents and is divided into an under 3's and over 3's group.
Club House Reception - Year 6 (ages 4-10) meet in the upper hall. This group is run by the Club House team.
